Philosophy and guiding principles
We believe that all players can be taught to play soccer to their highest ability in a comfortable and positive environment. We know that when players feel competent, confident and accomplished they enjoy themselves and excel.
At the academy level, the most important measure of success is fun and positive environment that facilitates continuous skill improvement. Our emphasis is not winning or losing but having fun while learning.
Why join a soccer academy
The Falcons Soccer Academy provides professional soccer training for young aspiring soccer players who want the benefit of the very highest level of soccer instruction. Players exposed to our program will have a significant advantage as the muscle memory required to play soccer instinctively is established at an early age.
These future stars will be exposed to well-planned training sessions that teach soccer skills, fast footwork and the instincts seen in the best players of the world.
Our instructors are sensitive to the fact that each player learns at different pace, as such, all players will be given individual attention to work on their weaknesses and reinforce their strengths.
At the Falcons Soccer Academy, there will be a strong focus on the skills that will make our attendees competent and confident soccer players. Players will be trained using the most innovative training methods used in the best academies in the US and Europe. We will train players to be agile and comfortable with the ball at their feet; good enough to beat any of their counterparts on 1 v 1 (personal success).
In addition to our skills training, we will incorporate small sided games which will put players in the ideal playing environment to allow them to use the skills they learn in a fun, inspiring and entertaining environment. Good ball skills, enjoyment of and experimentation within the game are key for a player’s development. We know that when players have fun, they learn fast. Our program is designed to teach players to be technically adept and tactically aware, making the beautiful game of soccer an absolute joy to play.
Parental involvement
The best way to help your child’s development and enjoyment as a soccer player is to understand what is important for his/her improvement.
Parents should encourage and praise good efforts and new skills learned as players improve. Your excitement and positive attitude will inspire you child.
Training Program
Players will participate in a comprehensive training program that uses a combination of skills training and small-sided games to accomplish our development goals.
Skills Training
Players will be trained based on an age specific curriculum carefully developed with specific development points in mind.
There will be an emphasis on agility, quick feet, ball skills, dribbling and passing.
Small-sided games.
The small sided playing format will be used to teach the tactical aspects of the game. The small-sided playing format will encourage greater player involvement and faster player development as all players are continuously involved. The more time players have on the ball, the better they get. For younger players learning the game, the best option is clearly the small-sided environment.
US Youth Soccer and soccer academies across Europe and the rest of the traditional soccer world have endorsed small-sided games (3v3 and 4v4) as the ideal playing environment to develop young players. These numbers tell a compelling story.
Studies showed that all aspects of a player’s game developed faster in this environment than on larger/full-sized fields. The smaller soccer environment ensures that all players stay involved in the play (no daisy picking). Players are forced to think the game continuously both offensively and defensively in a very short period of time. Also, there are several more goals and chances to score goals making games more exciting. The inevitable result is the rapid improvement of players’ overall skill development and knowledge of the game.
